Quote of the Day

So I haven't been having a good week. At all. My high school just isn't the home that it used to be. It's this lifeless place for me. I call it false hope considering I transferred there from another school (that I hated). I've been crying like crazy. Full on body convulsing.
Books are there to save you. To save me. I decided to pick up Pushing the Limits again by Katie McGarry. And I opened it to a part that was folded down. A quote said by Noah:

"The worst type of crying wasn't the kind everyone could see -- the wailing on street corners, the tearing at clothes. No, the worst kind happened when your soul wept and no matter what you did, there was no way to comfort it. A section withered and became a scar on the part of your soul that survived."

This gets me. Completely in love with this quote. And to find the page folded down? It's like I knew I would need this.

I may do this every Friday. Post a quote that seems to fit that week or one that I just love. I'll even accept some of your favorites! Because words have immense power of us, and when we find ones that get us, they sometimes need to be shared.

  1. If you're looking for a fantastically quotable book, SPEAK is at the top of my list. Every line in that book is a beautiful, heartbreaking quote.
